Apple unveils the new iPad Pro with the M1 chip, 5G, Liquid Retina XDR display, and much much more


Today Apple launched the next generation iPad Pro which features the new M1 chip, has 5G support, a new Liquid Retina XDR display, and Thunderbolt support.


The iPad Pro comes in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB of storage. The 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models will feature 8GB of RAM while the 1TB and 2TB models will feature 16GB of RAM.


The new M1 chip on the iPad Pro gives the iPad Pro 50% faster CPU performance and 40% faster GPU performance compared to the A12Z Bionic Chip from the previous generation iPad Pro.


The 12.9” iPad Pro model features the Liquid Retina XDR Display which is found on the Pro XDR Display. The display also uses mini-LED backlighting with there being over 10,000 LED’s.


There are also improvements to the camera. The iPad Pro features a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide lens camera that has a 120 degree field of view which will keep users in the frame during video calls.

The iPad Pro also has support for Thunderbolt and provides up to 40Gbps of bandwidth and supports 10Gbps Ethernet. The iPad Pro has mmWave 5G support in the US.


The 11” iPad Pro will start at $799 while the 12.9” will start at $1099. You can preorder them starting April 30th and they will be available in May.
