With Apple’s September 9 keynote almost here, leaks are pointing to more than just new iPhones. Well-known leaker Sonny Dickson has shared images of what appears to be Apple’s upcoming crossbody strap, an accessory designed to work with the new TechWoven cases that are expected to launch alongside the iPhone 17 lineup.

The strap shown in Dickson’s photos comes in a bold orange shade and is built with a flexible metal core wrapped in a magnetic design. This allows it to attach securely to dedicated slots on the case while still being easy to remove. Previous case leaks had already revealed corner cutouts that seemed tailor-made for such an accessory, but these latest images provide the clearest look yet.

Apple has dabbled in device straps before, from the lanyard loop on the AirPods Pro 2 case to the wrist strap system on the iPod touch. This new take, however, appears aimed at turning the iPhone into something more wearable, reflecting Apple’s push to expand both personalization and practicality.

The orange strap may also hint at one of Apple’s upcoming colors. Reports suggest the iPhone 17 Pro models will arrive in orange, making the accessory a coordinated option for buyers looking to match device and strap. If accurate, Apple’s “Awe Dropping” event may reveal not just new phones, but also the start of a new category of official iPhone accessories.
