Apple Launches Dedicated Siri App for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate

Apple is turning Siri into more than a pop-up assistant with the launch of a dedicated Siri app across iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate.

The new app gives users a central place to interact with Siri AI, Apple’s redesigned assistant built around more natural conversations, personal context, and awareness of what is happening on screen. Instead of relying only on quick voice commands, users will be able to continue longer conversations with Siri using either text or voice.

Conversation history is also becoming a larger part of the experience. Apple says previous Siri chats will sync through iCloud, allowing users to start a conversation on one device and continue it on another. That could make Siri feel closer to a persistent AI assistant rather than a temporary system prompt that disappears after each request.

The Siri app arrives as Apple begins rolling out its more personalized version of the assistant. Siri AI is designed to understand information from a user’s device, respond based on context, and help with tasks across apps. Apple is initially launching the upgraded assistant in English, with broader language support expected to follow later.

By giving Siri its own app, Apple is signaling that the assistant will play a larger role across its software platforms. The move also gives users a more familiar chat-style space for asking questions, managing requests, and revisiting past interactions.
