In a bid to further enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities, Apple is reportedly in talks with OpenAI and Google to integrate their respective AI technologies into iOS 18, according to a recent report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

While discussions between Apple and OpenAI had taken place earlier in the year without yielding tangible results, the two companies are now revisiting the possibility of collaboration, with negotiations centered around the terms of a potential agreement and how Apple could leverage OpenAI's advanced features.

In addition to OpenAI, Apple continues its dialogue with Google regarding the licensing of Google's Gemini AI. Despite ongoing discussions, Apple has yet to reach a definitive decision. Gurman suggests that Apple may opt to partner with both Google and OpenAI or explore alternatives altogether.

Rumors circulating within the tech community indicate that iOS 18 is poised to undergo a significant transformation with a heavy emphasis on artificial intelligence. Sources suggest that Apple is gearing up to introduce AI functionality across the operating system, signaling a strategic shift towards AI-driven innovation.

Apple's commitment to advancing AI technology was reaffirmed by CEO Tim Cook in February, who stated that the company aims to "break new ground" in this field. With anticipation mounting, consumers can expect a glimpse of the AI features slated for iOS 18 at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference, scheduled to commence on June 10.

As the tech industry eagerly awaits Apple's unveiling of iOS 18, the potential integration of OpenAI and Google's AI technologies promises to deliver enhanced user experiences and innovative functionalities, positioning iOS as a frontrunner in the realm of artificial intelligence.
